I enjoyed your poem, and also Naut's haiku! Some days it's okay to give ourselves permission to stop, refresh and regroup, I think.

I know that flat space...
Apathy owns you for the time you are there, perhaps rooted in a great sense of the Futility Of It All.
While you feel like nothing, like doing nothing, the only cure I know is to do something. I hope it worked for you, writing this poem which may help someone else to navigate a space like that.

Pat dear....
There is nothing on the tube to lift one's spirits and maybe it is time to get the boys to come for coffee and paint that railing for you.
Perhaps it is the fact that they just ignored you leaving the Library...how rude and thoughtless, unkind and ungrateful.
This gal in Blogit loves you and I find your poetry fabulous work as is the gift from Nautikos.
here is a gift from me...

I know the feeling well! Have, in fact, experienced it this morning, and your poem inspired this quickie haiku:
dust in the corner
grey pretending to be light
afloat in dullness
