My ex did Charlie's job, and was real good at it. He had a knack for reading which way to fell a tree too. I guess that's about all they had in common.

A fantastic story and so well done. I was so worried that our hero would fall from the tree and ruin his life but it is such a change from life today to read of a couple living all their lives in love.

Very well written! The description of Charlie's work as a topper is superb, and one gets a real sense of the couple's intense attraction for one another even from these short passages! Are we gonna get more?
