Hmmm, veddy interesting!
A company I worked for (they did mapping for broadcast antennas and census type consulting worldwide) had a query from a small FM radio consulting firm in DC; strange thing was their engineers had almost zero knowledge about radio broadcasting or US based stations; they seemed to be only interested in the information and statistics we had about populations and mapping tools as they pertained or applied to the Middle East. This was about 6 months after 9-11. I went on an expense paid trip to help with the presentation but we decided not to accept their offer because they wanted reams of personal information about everyone who worked for our company. My boss said what they wanted was too complex for our capabilities and possibly dangerous for his employees for him to get involved - sounded as though they would turn us into unaware, uninformed CIA agents.
