This batch of research has me stumped. Freeze dried butter and sour cream are so different one company to another that one would not know they were the same products. Another stumper is that the fat does not freeze dry well so I guess they extract it. I got all the ingredients and tried all the different methods and I am still up cripple creek on this experiment. Well here goes since Nautikos asked what I was working on I am going to tell you. I am working on a project to aid those people who work, are retired, students or just like to have good meals and not spend a lot of time doing a lot of dishes and cooking so much yet they are not skimping and the flavor is full and good. Thank you so much for being so patient. I left a single day holiday message up for almost a week. I have been very busy, sorry I haven't been around. I want to wish every mother on face book a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.... A day without which none of us would be here. She is the one person in your life that carried you day and night nine months before she could see how cute and sweet you really were. The one who may have more than once gone to sleep in the middle of the night to awaken only be the dropping of the bottle while she fed you after a long day's work.... There have been such bad things happening all over the world for the last month or so. Tornadoes can be so devastating and one town in Oklahoma I believe where not one structure was left unharmed. Thankfully no one was killed. The death toll of those in Kathmandu just keeps growing and the volcano in Chili is still belching. I believe these sorts of happenings are significant. Well one never knows what they will encounter from leaving home on Sunday morning until they return that evening. I certainly did not expect to have to go for major repairs and those quickly it appears. In one of the areas of the Nursing Homes where we have two Sunday morning sessions we take week about preaching. I just read this wonderful post by TAPS. Well when is one not wonderful that is written by TAPS? It brought memories back of how wonderful it was to be a free range kid, however, I never knew anything else. My mother was very strict and made me work a lot, however, it never occurred to be afraid to walk about in the neighborhood. If indeed one can call the country a neighborhood. As I told you we had such a wonderful day yesterday and it sorta tired me out. I slept in this morning very late. When I awoke and went looking for George I found him painting upstairs. Not unusual as he works night shifts and works as he can before going in to work. I busied myself with preparing some food and noticed it was getting late before I finished cooking and doing a bit of the other chores about the house. One might say it takes so little to please old people. No that is not the case we have done most everything and know the pleasures of simplicity. Today George was off work so we had a wonderful day. We began with breakfast out by the lake just watching the beautiful day building and going on about itself. The weather is beautiful. The yard is full of beautiful birds, the flowers are in bloom and this is a lovely day. I am putting my Buddy issue to rest if he is dead I hope he is in animal heaven. If he is alive I hope he is happy now that is that. I know I shall only have to wait a little while before another little kitten gets dropped off here. That happens so often. Well there is no sign of Buddy and I just have to hope. Today is another one and I must get on with things. I have been cleaning out the pantry and it is a job. I will love it when it is back in good order. Today we are having an Art Festival on the Lake. This is an even that has lasted well over 50 years so everybody turns out for it. Our beautiful sweet Buddy, the big baby yellow and white cat is missing. We, just like all of you, love our pets and since we have lived here too many have gone missing or been killed and even stolen. It is so sad each time. We have looked and looked but he seems to have vanished into thin air. No such is possible he is a home body he plays in the yard, garage and in the house all the time. D you ever tire of hearing that everything we eat and do is killing us? When I thought of the only things left to eat or do with any degree of safety, there was nothing left that was fun or tasted good. I personally don't plan to live forever, so I cheat. I am only stopping by for a minute to read and post as I am still hard at my task. I have forgotten that redecorating was as much clean up and get rid of as it is all the fun creativity of renewal. I am in the process of making scrapbooks of all the various jobs, businesses etc., I have had or done in my life. I am doing this for my daughter and grandson. It is taking a toll. I am short on time today. We are about to attack some redecorating and that is a major job. Easter is a day that never passes we just keep living in it to the best of our ability. But today I put away my Easter Bonnet it is time to pick up the hoe and rake. I need to fertilize my tomato plants and set some pepper plants. I do look forward to Spring beginning on New Year's day. Of course I am never ready to wait another three months.
