HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING LIFE

Sorry I have not been on here in some time. Not that it is earth shattering if I am away but I do miss your comments and posts when I am away. I have a lot going on right now. I am not having a good time with my therapy it is really feeling much worse now than before; however, I guess that is the old adage: it has to get worse to get better. Okay! We have children coming later this week. We don't see them often and I am looking forward to that. Things change after a certain age, no more right... Sign in to see full entry.

JUST LSLOWING DOWN A BIT AGAIN.

Thank all of you for your sweeet comments about my granddaughter. She is a special young woman. I am being a bit slow with writing lately I am going three days a week for Physical Therapy and they are working the stew outta me. I have fallen a bit for a long time and in addition to the last fall I have had a lot of pain. They think something is pressing on a nerve that is interfering with the timing of the signals from my brain to my right foot. Okay it sounds crazy to me too but something is... MY BEAUTIFUL GRANDDAUGHTER

My oldest granddaughter that I have written about before went to Israel on a project and finished it and is home again. In fact she has been home for some time now and finished a project she left hanging. I am so proud of her she just finished another movie(the one above) in which she directed and acted. The videos to send out for selling the movie are ready and are going out. I hope to have some of the videos this fall, if I do get them I will put one on here. This is her fourth short movie... UCK..OOOOOOOOO

I could tell from some of the responses that I had not conveyed what I was meaning to convey. I want to thank Annicita for saying it was she that made the comment about Bible Thumper. This is not a post of angst. But I was not talking about going to a Christian school, I was talking about the ordinary public schools who still in that day were adhering to the Constitution and basis on which this country was built. Our founders said that all people were to have freedom of their religion. Our... Sign in to see full entry.

IT IS TOUGH BEING 79 BUT THE FOUNDATION WAS GREAT

I saw a post yesterday or so that made some sort of statement demeaning Bible Thumpers in some way as too dumb to understand the value of Hillary Clinton and Mr Sanders. I don't want to get into any sort of belittling or angst no politics or hate junk. I just feel sorry for all who have not lived either long enough or in a place where they could learn to see truth, evaluate it and enjoy living by it. Frankly I have never thumped my Bible. If you under are 60+ years old you have no concept of... Sign in to see full entry.

I MAY BE THE ONLY ONE WHO WORE DRESSES MADE FROM FLOUR SACKS

The 1930's Flour Sack by Colleen B. Hubert In that long ago time when things were saved, when roads were graveled and barrels were staved and there were no plastic wrap or bags, and the well and the pump were way out back, a versatile item, was the flour sack. Pillsbury's best, mother's and gold medal, too stamped their names proudly in purple and blue. The string sewn on top was pulled and kept the flour emptied and spills were swept. The bag was folded and stored in a sack That durable,... Sign in to see full entry.

RED WHIT AND BLUE IS THE COLOR OVER OUR WHITE HOUSE!

I liked this comment beautifully written by Beverly Hulick from Haslet Texas: I have been giving this "rainbow lights on the White House" a lot of thought as it upset me, but I really did not fully understand why it did. So, I thought about it and then I knew, without a doubt, why I feel the way I do. You might disagree with me; which is your right, but this is how I look at it and how I see it. I speak for myself; but am hoping that others will see my words and understand them. The White House... Sign in to see full entry.

TODAY IS GREAT

Our garden this year is a tiny one. We have one tomato plant left and I collected several beautiful tomatoes off it today, a couple of cukes and some peppers from our other few plants. I guess I can tell a lot of difference in everything from one year to the next as we get older. Don't misunderstand me I am delighted to still be on this side of the green but I would like to have the agility of a twenty year old. Now tell me who would not! There is a benefit amongst all those things I complain... Sign in to see full entry.

IT STILL BOGGLES THE MIND OR MINE AT LEAST

I have lived more than three-quarters of a century. That in and of itself makes me no smarter, no dumber or any other label than any one else. What I did with that, where I lived and how I lived has made me who I am. Who that is will not fill any magazines, newspapers or T.V news spots, but it gives me confidence in the fact that I can trust some of the things I have learned because I see them in action. Everything that is happening right now was expected yet it is still staggering to me. There... Sign in to see full entry.

FORGET POLITICS AND THINK OF LIFE AS WE KNOW IT.

At the end of this month, only a few days from now, perhaps the most important decision ever for this country will be made. It is dependent greatly upon how great the outcry is of the citizens of this country(USA). Before we talk about the decision let us examine the other partner in the deal. Iran. Iran is a Muslim country which according to their Holy Book the Quran they are welcome to lie to any one about anything to benefit themselves if the other party is not Muslim. It is obvious the US is... Sign in to see full entry.

BACK AT IT PAPA

Father's Day has past and it is back to work or what ever your day is filled with. I will miss George today. I miss George when he goes away we share so many things. Secretly I think he likes being away from home a bit most days. He does come home for lunch daily and I enjoy that. It keeps me fresh in the kitchen or I could get really lazy. He keeps up with all the news and shares it with me. I keep up with whatever or a pace or two and share that. Today we are being lazy until he goes to work... Sign in to see full entry.

WEATHER DOES NOT LOOK LIKE CLIMATE CHANG IF IT SHOULD BE COOL

It is so incredible how the Bible opens up and pours out new information century after century. Only God breathed words can be living. In the early Spring time I am so happy about having good weather long before many areas even get any sunny days. Today and the last week I have wanted to swap with almost anyone. We have had days over one hundred and no wind or rain. Then I look around at all the devastation from rain, hurricanes and flooding and know that I am blessed. There are so many signs... WOW IT FEELS LIKE YEARS SINCE I MET UP WITH YOU

Oh it does seem like a very long time since I was on here. If there are any of you who do not have teen grandchildren you are missing a work-out. It brought back such grand memories of my boys as teens. His Mom keeps saying he doesn't eat well. I am wondering what she did with that boy. The one who came to my house is a food machine. But I kept him busy and off the cell phone games etc. We worked out a work deal. It is called Grans Help Grans, Inc., we incorporated by shaking hands. I give him a... Sign in to see full entry.

HOW MUCH FUN CAN ONE GAN GAN HAVE IN A DAY

Oh, Samuel arrived yesterday and it has and is being absolute bliss. He helped Papa move the outside dining table to a new spot and put a tent or umbrella of sorts over it. They mowed the lawn cooked out and he went to bed absolutely exhausted. Today he helped me grocery shop and mostly helped me enjoy my day so much. He is such a joy. Thank God for children and grand children. Oh I have to go now. I don't dare miss a minute of my time with him. Sign in to see full entry.

IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE THIS AGE, VISIT, CALL OR SEND A CARD

Johna Clay Moody You always hear about the last meal for a person on death row. Well have you ever thought about what you would want as a last meal. Of course not. I love to cook and I certainly love to eat but that is not what my last morsel of time on this earth is about to me. Just as I thought you had never thought of what you wanted your last meal to be do you spend much time thinking of what you would want your last two or ten years to be. Of course not with any seriousness, unless you are... Sign in to see full entry.

OH THE GRANDSON IS COMING FOR A VISIT

I am so happy I can hardly contain myself in a manner appropriate for a grandmother. My grandson is coming for a visit. He is not a toddler that I can sit and enjoy playing games with or read to but he is a teen ager. Naturally Gan-Gan has no right to take on the management of his growing-up but being of an age I have learned a few tricks that Moms and Dads will not easily recognize. His parents are divorced, but are wonderful in their cooperative action toward his care. They equally want to... Sign in to see full entry.

A.A.A.D.D. MY CURRENT DIAGNOSIS

Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests: I decide to water my flower tubs. As I turn on the hose I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. I go to get the car keys from the porch and then notice mail on the porch table. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the bin under the table and notice that the bin is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on... Sign in to see full entry.

I DO APPRECIATE YOU

It is a very comforting thing to know that I have Blogit friends who will pray and/or send their best wishes to me when I need help. You are truly friends. It may be that none of us would be friends if we were in the same neighborhood, who knows. If we were not we would be missing out on good relationships. I don't know a lot more about my daughter's condition except that she is so much better and is home. She is waiting for the results from a group of tests. It is a help to have prayer and good... I NEED YOUR PRAYERS AND GOOD WISHES

My daughter has been very ill a couple of days at a time for a few months. It is not like her to be ill at all. She never missed work and then it became necessary. She went for a check up and talked to her doctor about it and he lined her up for some tests as he could not tell what was happening. We thought she was having a bout of flu attacks but they became closer and far more severe. She went to the emergency room a couple of days ago and was very dehydrated, they gave her fluids and sent her... Sign in to see full entry.
