My sea food meal yesterday had big beautiful scallops amongst the lobster tails muscles and prawns, and it too was steamed in a butter and white wine sauce and sat on a bed of

Linguine.

My you are early Justi  I sowed my tomato seeds in Early Feb and the tommies are only as big as peas despite being in the greenhouse. Most folk are only just planting the small plants. Although I have picked the first sweet peas that are growing under plastic. I am glad that you feel better.

Just today I was trying to figure out exactly what are scallops that one eats.  I read all of this:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scallop and now I know what I am eating--the adductor muscle of a bivalve mollusk.  Oysters have them too, but in oysters they are very tiny.

I saw Park's Whopper plants at the supermarket. Their leaves are a nice shade of green. They're similiar to Better Boy.

Justi

Your scallops sound delicious...I do mine in a similar way, but serve each on a leaf of pan-wilted radicchio...And I must try that trick with a corn cob...
