A DAY OR SO IN MY LIFE! WHO CARES?

I noticed a few days ago there was a post on here regarding some cloning going on in China. Of course we know of the President’s trip to Paris for the Global Warming summit. These are not news just rehashing of predictions. I have no idea how long the earth has been here 20 million years or however long. None of that makes any difference to me. I am a very poor skier. But it makes me think of aging. As a child I was just sure birthdays only came once ever four or so years. I could hardly wait to be 20, then as I reached 30 I remember cringing. As I am looking back now I think 30 is such a beautifully young but responsible age. It is about the time I am getting some balance on the slope, just knowing I will be fine. By that time I had finished college, begun a career, had a small family and thought that was all there was. I am so happy I had a house full of guest for Thanksgiving. It was wonderful. Good conversation, no arguing, no gossiping just lovely conversation between adults and some very smart children. Extremism or attempted discussion with those who think only they know all the answers to life is becoming a bit tedious. All of us have some answers that are correct to some things. I am maybe the oldest American here on Blogit. I remember our country in such a way that todays mature citizens have maybe never seen. How many of you remember the Bamboo curtain around China. Occasionally one would escape, rarely but some did and they were welcomed into our country with no problem. It was not a planned influx. There is no meat in this blog just as the others of mine are. But one can feel the tremors in the air. Never Would Have Guessed WHY MR. ROGERS WORE A SWEATER? Captain Kangaroo passed away on January 23, 2004 at age 76, which is odd, because he always looked to be 76. (DOB: 6/27/27 ) His death reminded me of the following story. It is gloomy outside today and I am cozy as a bug in a rug just doing my thing. I have come to the realization that nothing has to bother me even a bad weather day. You surely know how us Southerners love our sunshine and warm breezes. Recently I posted a poem about the death of my second son. This occurred 15 years after the oldest and only other son I had, was killed in an auto accident too. I had no siblings, my parents were very old when the oldest son died and they loved him so much. A few weeks ago I talked a bit about the Jewish Holidays and the three blood moons and that this years Jewish Holidays was different than any for the last 50 years. This is the first day we have had any heat at all. The sun is shinning brightly and all is warm under its glow, but the breeze is too cool for comfort. This post is perhaps long overdue. George and I need to put some new life into our nursing home ministry. We have been there for a long time doing the same things and they deserve a fresh vibe. Actually it is pretty down here. We are having a lot of rain, which we needed. It is a bit blustery but that is just a breeze off the East Coast flooding from one of the Atlantic hurricanes. Even in elementary school children will gravitate to those with big or lots. Lots of confidence, or clothes, or friends. We just want to be near abundance whether we are aware of it or not. Even in our churches: Those in the country are on all the boards if they have the most land, the biggest house and most cattle.
