An odd lot of photos... and visiting London's East End in the 50s

"CALL THE MIDWIFE" is based on the memoirs of an actual midwife who started her career in London's East End, in the 1950s. Sunshine and daisies, and memories of summer

Looking out on a bright day and high mist that obscures mountains, there is a white disk of the sun just peeking back. I'm guessing that's about 7-8 inches of snow on the rail, and no critters come to beg nuts and seeds, yet. There could be more snowfall today. A few days ago, CCT and I were talking about some coneflowers I had on my porch last summer, from which I saved the seeds, and hope to grow in the yard in the coming summer.
