Yesterday, the Seal of Disapproval

Red Rock Beach

This is one of the many coastal areas near Wellington, NZ. It may be called this because of the many dark red pebbles tossed up on the shore. wind and rain!

I woke at 6 this morning when a particularly rough blast of wind shook the house. Houses here are built for this, so that was a pretty substantial hit! Then the rains came... Here is the first set of photos from New Zealand. The Maori rock carvings are accessible only by boat, so we took the trip from the wharf at Taupo, and rode gentle waves through mist and rain to these cliffs.
