Re: TAPS,
sad grandsons! I am sure they were happy to get them later... speaking of lessons in patience!
For me the issue was less patience than an anxiety that I had screwed up internationally, and that because of borders and customs and all, it would be a bigger set of problems than just lost stuff.

Re: Ciel
Actually all they did was promise that. So far they have given me mostly hassle, and at last, the bags, which finally is what matters.
It will take more than a $25 voucher to win back any respect here. But maybe they can't afford more substantial 'apologies,' if they treat everyone with a problem this way.

I'm so glad that everything turned out all right after your lesson in patience. The one time I had luggage delayed in a return flight from CA, grandsons had come to the airport to meet me and were so disappointed because what was in the lost luggage was the souveniers for them.

All they gave you was 25 bucks? I guess the airlines have got very miserly.
I have never had my luggage delayed, but some years ago I got bumped off an Air Canada flight. They gave me $50 for lunch,
and a free flight to anywhere in Canada...Yes, that was whe they still served decent meals on domestic flights, and not just peanuts, literally...

I'm sure if you're ever forced to fly Delta, you'll take carry-on only! Mal

I am glad that the baggage finally arrived very pleased and everything
intact but that voucher is an insult...and I bet it has an expiry date on it as well.
