Finally loaded these to flickr... my very first good aerial photos from a regular commercial flight on a day of perfect light and visibility conditions, with just a light enough snow to highlight without obscuring. http://www.flickr.com/photos/therovingeye/sets/72157624717852993/with/4942669994/ Sign in to see full entry.
It has taken long enough to get these posted! I didn't take a lot of photos on my drive through north west Montana in July, but several of these, drove past, got a mile or so on down the road, then turned around and went back for them. Sometimes you just know you will kick yourself forever, for not... Sign in to see full entry.
We drove through the Kootenai Wildlife Reserve yesterday, and though I didn't get the clearest best artful shots of the moose and other critters, I did get some reasonable snapshots for memory and sharing purposes. I do love that 24x zoom! The link is the same as on the previous post. Sign in to see full entry.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/therovingeye/ A few days ago Davy and I headed north from Colorado Springs on I-25, past Denver and on up through Wyoming. Some years ago when I was here, there were no such pests as the wind was high and... Sign in to see full entry.
Summer days in this oldest and most popular of US National Parks are a mob scene. We did not dawdle, and only stopped a couple of times for photos. The glorious and dramatic pools and mudpits will wait for a quieter time. We did take a short loop to see some rapids in a lava-rock canyon called The... Sign in to see full entry.
Then we drove on across the Idaho Panhandle into Montana along I-90 where I was focused on driving, and so did not take photos until the next day when we drove from Butte down to the West Gate into Yellowstone National Park. On that stretch of road we did stop for shots of the Earthquake Lake, the... Sign in to see full entry.
