Black swans with ruffled rears...

Skies of Queenstown

This is as far south as I have ever been... Queenstown, in the lower part of New Zealand's South Island. I woke the second morning to see pink sky outside the window, and in 10 minutes was outside with camera at the ready, standing on the boardwalk at the edge of the lake. These skies were worth the... The skies of New Zealand: sunsets

The sky is wide, outside the house of my daughter and son-in-law, and evening clouds reach from horizon to the top of the sky, and around to the top of the hill behind the house. About damn time!

The baggage turned up tonight, 6 days late, and is home at last! As it happened, I had to go to the airport anyway to pick up my son who is visiting this week, so although there was a bit more running around, up and down the baggage claim area, there they finally were, and intact, even the seashells... Luggage is just a bag... two, in this case.
