Have you noticed how your mood lightens when you come into a little money? I like to think I'm above such simple vulgar things, but the sad truth is, I'm not. When the stocks are going well and the little flutters on gambling pay off, I tend to think: "Oh how clever you are!" In short I tend to brain-wash myself into believing that its my own skill that has made it all so, where in fact its just because luck was on my side that day. Has all this suffering over the past 4 months all been for nothing? When you look at scenes like this at Bournemouth, it makes you wonder. I do have my doubts about the stats concerning the virus and the death rate, but the fact remains that people are very scared and very lonely. I would have been tempted if I lived near the sea, but to go to this end is madness. Why give the authorities an excuse to crack down on us even more? Take a look at the two photos. The first is the sky above our house, and the most notable thing is the increase in air traffic. Sure they are mostly small private aircraft, like Cessna's but they are increasing. The sky is clear and pure but I doubt if it will stay that way for much longer. I am trying to bring my sister and Mother back together again. They fell out over money (a lot of money) and have never really got back together. they were more like friends and saw each other every day, and Mother needed her to look after the house. So well they fell out, things looked bad. The one thing they have in common is that they are both as pig-headed as each other, so neither would back down, and we are in the sorry mess we are now. Walked to the market today. A market that goes back to medieval times and has seen a few plagues, but the good news is that it's starting to fight back. Most of the stalls are back. Of course, the 2 I was looking for were not present, but maybe they were just waiting. The woman selling bird food and the guy selling fag lighter must be hanging on even through the good times. Here are 2 links that have proved very valuable to me over the years. http://www.worthofweb.com/ https://www.similarweb.com They don't always work, but when they do you have a clear picture of what that web site is really about and not their spin. The surprising thing is that many sites are fare more popular than you might think. I used it a lot for business, just to see is they represent the markets they claim. So I've been away. Looking back on some of my old blog posts, i just want to curl up with embarrassment. How could I have written that? More to the point: why? I have wiped a few sections as they were just spammy rip off things, and some of the fiction is a bit lame. But I hesitate to wipe it all out. A lot has changed on the net since I gave up writing here on Blogit. In a way, we should not be sorry to see some of it go. I was just as guilty as most for the spamming and pyramid schemes that blitz the net. All for nothing, but it did teach me about trading, so there is a silver lining. Well its been a few years since I made an entry here, but I certainly want to get back. I stopped making blog entries as I simply lost interest in it. I have a full-time income from the web now, but some of my earlier entries are mostly about pyramid schemes and needless to say, they all failed. There is a real reason why I want to get back to writing here. One is to do a favour to a new friend of mine, who might do me a few favours in return.
