Gloom Here in the UK, we are heading for gloomy times. What with the Covid and the re-introduction of a massive lock-down, I can see a dark and miserable winter ahead. What's more, the rain has set in all day. Record rainfall for the last month, but it could be worse. I've read that in 1880 there was a really bad flood which flooded the local and town and surrounding villages. But someone posted a record of a local scholar writing about an even worse flood. In 1641 the river rose so high is... Sign in to see full entry.

Re-build

Could you rebuild a version of yourself from your Blogit entries? I've been here a while and I've written diaries for years. Some going back to the mid-'70s. But if I read back through them, I wonder if I could ever build a version of ME in the future, based on the person that would come over from those pages? What's more, would I want to? When I read back through those pages, I wonder if I even Like that version of me. So arrogant and selfish. Would you ever befriend a person like that? That... Sign in to see full entry.

Back in time.

If you had to rebuild a version of yourself in the future, where would you start? The most obvious is to go back in time and take a look at the old you. You could stand back and say: "Yes, that was me. That's where I was at!" We might fondly think that we could recover the old "You" from what had gone on before. Surely the essence of what you were could be recovered from the evidence of who you were and how you thought? There may very well be pieces of you that were best left behind. Who would... Money!

This is just one of the stocks I've invested in over the last few days: I'm pretty small-time, but even this modest effort will return you a reasonable amount. I don't want to get political but President Trumps' offer to pour $2 and half-trillion dollars into the economy must have had an effect. Sure, someone has to pay for it down the line, but for now, the money talks for itself. Steve. Sign in to see full entry.

5 again!

Found this in the lunchtime draw; Sign in to see full entry.

5

At least we got one number from the Irish evening draw To do any perms on this might not have made much difference, but one number got me £0.02 profit. I can remember the old days of Click through sites, and it would have taken you all day to make that! Sign in to see full entry.

11

Well, at least it delivered one number. I find if you keep the same numbers rolling for a few days, they come up. But thank goodness something worked after I opened my mouth! Steve. Sign in to see full entry.

Numbers

I only play the numbers in the Irish state lottery, as I find these the easiest to predict. Remember this is just for fun. I've never got more than 3 and only play for pennies. here in the UK, the best way to do it is through Coral's website. But only for pennies. I find the trick is to let the same numbers roll over for 2 or 3 days, and they usually come up. It's not like the Nasdaq which is easier to short just lately. Please don't take this seriously. No News, Good News?

Well so little has happened since the last entry, I feel guilty at not posting. But some things have happened. We are still here and things are going OK. We finally had a result on the House rent, and they only put the rent up £30 a month. So a big sigh of relief. I always get an empty feeling after a great victory, as if I felt guilty for nothing, and maybe it would have worked itself out anyway? But it's better, to tell the truth. Sold the neighbours ride on mower, which was a big worry. But... Sign in to see full entry.

Not Much happening.

I haven't written of late as I've not done much and I'm too preoccupied with the stock market. We are down but not out. Waiting for things to come around. Optimistic, but frustrated that things are not moving faster. As for England? People not taking any notice of Covid advice. Looks like this will be with us into the new year. Happy Christmas!
