Blog DescriptionAttempting to provide a different perspective on the things that we have come to accept and believe but this time around with a much mellower tone. Make no mistake however, patience with the bible lobotomized, (or those rendered dysfunctional by any holy book for that matter), is still in short supply. All I would ask anyone to consider is this; we all have a penchant to default to the notion of respecting the beliefs of others, my first response when someone tries to play that card against me is always the same . . . "you first" |
Wednesday, May 31, 2006Why you have been blockedI have blocked yet another rabid Christian from leaving comments on my postings. I won't mention any names here. This time, not so much for attrocious behaviour on the part of the person being blocked but more to just rid myself of a nuisance. You probably have no comprehension of why this has... I've been attacked once or twice here on Blogit concerning things that I write in this posting.. okay change "once or twice" to several thousand times.... This all powerful God that a lot of folks believe in, seems to use an awful lot of his time performing... It's been years since I've bought into what many still believe today to be true about the founding beliefs of the Christian religion. There are many reasons why I cannot believe almost every last word of it. Notice that I used the word "cannot" as opposed to "choose".... Love is the answer, faith in God is the answer, the world could solve all it's problems if everyone just believed in this loving God. No wars, no hunger, no problems whatsoever. The reality however is much... Sign in to see full entry.Wednesday, May 24, 2006So what is the point? The last few days on Blogit have been a little more acrimonious for me than in the past. A certain level of acidity has crept into my comments and responses to the comments of others. I recognize it for exactly what it is. A level of frustration that should not exist within myself. There is no point... Sign in to see full entry.Monday, May 22, 2006We may be witnessing an historical weekendMuch has been written about the worldwide release of the movie The Da Vinci Code. Not surprisingly, those who are adherants to any of the Christian religions have registered their protests against what they feel is an attack on something that they hold sacred. That being the "official" version of... And who is guilty of proliferating these lies more than anyone? Well it's our good ol devout believers, that's who. With untreated sewage pouring from... Sign in to see full entry.Religious propaganda and it's insidious natureSometimes the most effective propagandists are those who do not even realize that they are advancing an agenda. Such is the case with attempting to draw a parrallel between non believing citizens of North America and various infamous dictators and political figures. Organized religion is not going... This person was a self described holy person. A self proclamation made verbally by the individual and with the use of a title but hardly ever in deed, at least as far as the way others were treated... Sign in to see full entry. |
