kooka_lives - I perused that page back in the Fall.
When I see all caps on absolutely everything, from posts to comments, I am forewarned.

He also has this in there, which makes me wonder if he understand english very well at all-

Primary occupation: GEORGIA

His 'about me' page alone says a lot about him and for some reason it does not agree with his present claims.

kooka_lives - It just goes to show that if you are going to tell lies

you need a good memory.

ssut so you know, if you check out NOPEACE's 'about me' page it says - Schools attended: GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY.  Interesting that he does not mention Harvard there.

For whatever it might mean to you, I agree with you, Sir, 100%!  And well said!

DarrkeThoughts - that may be true but an Ivy league ticket sure must mean
a lot while spreading the "word" . . at least to some.

Harvard...LOL
Isn't that where Bush went to school?  Or was that Yale?  An Ivy league school on your resume may not mean as much as it used to.

Sophistie - yes it does involve almost every subject
and as much as anythng, is a freedom of speech issue. An ideal that many seem to have a problem with. They think that freedom of speech only applies to them or those saying something that they agree with. The only good thing about ignorance is that it can be cured.

Forgot to Spell Check!! Ignorance has no "n"!! Oops!

It is Not Just Related to Christianity
This involves almost every subject.  I understand what you are saying.  It is felt that divergent thinking is not allowed.  All must converge.  It matters not whether rational.  This relates to intelligence, in my opinion. You are correct to quanitfy, yet many still will not get it.  Waste no time, for one cannot move a person from certain levels of ignorace.  I learned that the hard way!

kooka_lives - I was put in my place by a believer today
I wouldn't lie to you about that...... NOPEACE went to Harvard and is a MENSA member, ...really no kidding. But anyways amongst us average folk, I have to agree. We have seen many a bible thumper  come along and read one of our posts, then react with incredible venom because it is not something they are used to. The constant re-affirmation of the group is one of the single most important aspects of brainwashing. To run into someone that is not parroting the same words as everyone else they know, sometimes is quite a shock to them.

We attack them just by being different than them and expressing views that they disagree with.  A while back I challenged one of them to find for me some examples where I attacked Christians.  All that I saw were comments I had made that were very obviously my personal opinions on ideas.  None of them were me saying anything about Christians at all.

In their minds if you do not sit back and say they are 100% correct in their beliefs, you are attacking them.

Xeno-x - where I think all people would like to have others agree with them

and share their perspective, I have no illusions about ever convincing one person to see things my way.

I have set my sights much lower in terms of persuading people of things that they may not be aware of. I just want some of these insufferable, self righteous religious folks to take a long look in the mirror. Thye just dont' seem able to grasp that their attempts to advance what they believe and how they do it, is the root problem of all that ills humanity. We can only start with the basics and that in my mind is the advancement of the notion of all humans being equal. Not a little more equal because they read the bible, but equal as the word is defined.

actually
if you persuade just one of them to your way of thiknig
you've done a mighty deed
you've saved his/her soul.
now doesn't that make you feel special?
