Spring Fever

The cat has spring fever. She's ripping the house apart in her efforts to escape to the great outdoors. Mark has spring fever. He was out in the back yard all weekend, soaking up the sun, playing with his tools, and having all day fires in the fire pit. I've got spring fever too. But it's coming out... One Life Changing Moment In Time

Dad and I were talking on the phone last night, and he brought up an incident that I hadn't thought about in a long time. He was laughing, rehashing the good old days. I was fairly quiet through most of it, because I don't actually think it's funny. I'm going to share my little adventure with you... Sign in to see full entry.

The world is my...chocolate!

I'm sure you've all heard most of the common catch phrases and cliches. They're a standard part of most people's vocabulary, a quick and easy way to express yourself. But there's a whole lot of phrases that drive me nutty. Here's a few of the ones that I hear all the time, and the reason I hate... Sign in to see full entry.

Knowing, without knowing why

I've been slacking on my reading/commenting, and for that I apologize! It was not lack of desire, but rather sheer mental exhaustion that kept me away from your blogs. Reading and commenting isn't the only thing that's fallen to the wayside in the last couple of days. I haven't written more than the... Sign in to see full entry.

No, England is NOT part of Canada

I have to go to the bank today, to send some money to a lady in London. That would be the London in the United Kingdom, not the one in Ontario. Sounds pretty simple, right? I have all her account and banking information. I have her address, both personal and business. You would think that, armed... Sign in to see full entry.

The worst day of the year

April 1st is my least favorite day of the year. I'm gullible to a fault, and I almost always end up falling for one silly prank or another. Sometimes, they're really quite funny. Others are a bit more mean spirited. Here's a few of the jokes from past years that really stand out in my mind: 1) The... Sign in to see full entry.

Thank You Bloggers--the mini-van delima has been solved!

I made Mark read all your comments regarding mini-vans, and he's finally agreed that it is not necessary for me to have one. We're back to looking at sporty, albeit practical, cars and/or SUV's, and "Operation Knocked-up" is back on track. Apparently it took several people who were experienced in... No Way, No How. Not going to happen!

I've been car shopping for the last little while. Nothing really serious--I'm just trying to get a feel for the different makes and models, and familiarizing myself with options. After my last nasty experience with the sales person from hell, Mark's been taking an active interest in helping me,... Sign in to see full entry.

Get off your arse and fix it!

Our downstairs neighbor, Steve, decided to put a new engine in his truck, about 6 months ago. As it turns out, this little project of his has been a bit of a thorn in my side! Because he knew the job would take a while, he bought himself a "spare" truck, to drive around until he'd finished. That... Sign in to see full entry.

Gomer Pyle is alive and well

Mark was off work again today. Apparently their supplier got some stuff badly messed up, and he can't do anything until it's fixed. That's fine with me, since I was excited to get my chair and I didn't want to wait for him to come home from work. On our way to the warehouse, we decided to stop at... Sign in to see full entry.
