Pat,

How right you are! Most people make fun of me for this particular fear. Imagine, a grown woman running away from a children's entertainer. But I look at it like you do--I don't know who's under the mask or face paint, and that scares me.

Thanks for reading, and for shedding light on a seemingly irrational fear

LOL Kabu! Of course she came with you to Canada--cat's are very loyal pets!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with a few quirks

It is fascinating!

Being a bit of a control freak, I usually try to plan ahead for just about everything. Of course, things rarely go according to my plans, but I feel better for at least having made them. Mark's like you--he'd rather forget the planning and just go for it.

Thanks for reading

Lots of people fear clowns. It's perfectly rational.
Put on floppy shoes, a big polka-dot suit, paint your face and put on a red wig, and you could be anybody. You could be a sick psychopath out hunting for a target. And the best surveillance camera in the world won't identify you when the cops start checking out the crime. And if you run funny in those big floppy shoes, it will disguise your usual movements, further shielding you from detectives. As you well know, fear of clowns is perfectly logical.

well I quite understand all this. Wiley just asked me if I'd taken my
medicine today. He was only half joking because my 20yr, old cat that died the other year is still around. I heard her jump down off the bed. As she died in Australia, Wiuley has trouble understanding how come she's here. So you see luv, there's quite a few of us with .....well who are a bit different.

It is fascinating to read how others think and about the dilemma ;-)
I guess a lot of people do plan ahead about houses, and cars with regard to babies, etc. I never did. I remember leaving the baby with a grandmother for 2 hours one morning, and we went out to three car places, and bought a car at the third.
