I always thought it was 1 o'clock. Maybe that was just because they wanted to give people the full lunch hour to finish their nasty tricks...
Noon is good though--that's one hour less for people to devise their evil plots

Very funny stuff!
Although I think the company did go too far! But at least they made up for it. Incidentally, April Fool jokes and pranks are only allowed until noon...

Once when I worked for the phone company, a lady came in one
afternoon and asked if she could take the paper bag off her phone. Someone had called, said he was a lineman for the phone company and they were vacuuming out all the lines. If she didn't put a bag over her phone, the process might send clouds of soot all over her house. She asked if she could answer her phone, and the "lineman" said no, they'd send someone by the house to let her know when they were done. She waited nearly a week before coming to the office to complain about our slow service.
