D ell When he was a junior at MHS polio seized Dell Winslow in its horrible jaws and bit down hard. He missed quite a bit of fall term while he "vacationed" in a polio ward in Tacoma -- too far from home for his mom to visit on a daily basis, and in quarantine for several of those weeks. Then came... Sign in to see full entry.

After All (Excerpt) - Ch. 19 conclusion
“I was going to ask you to forgive me but I know there’s too much. So you’re off the hook, Margie.” “Good thing, Lee, because you’re too late.” “I know,” he said. “Wait a minute? Lee! Did you just call me Lee?” “Of course.” “But….” “Anyway, in case you didn’t catch it, you’ve been forgiven. Years... Sign in to see full entry.

After All (Excerpt)
CHAPTER 19: DECISIONS, DECISIONS Henry had made up his mind to give up the attempt to get Margaret’s forgiveness. It’s too much to ask. I don’t deserve it. He got to the coffee shop early, not certain she’d show up. He was deep in thought when Orrin and a young man came in. It was his son Robbie!... Sign in to see full entry.

A poem
Autumn Kisses I didn’t know how fast they could freeze, how winds of pending winter could carry them away. They’d felt warm as spring’s first crush, with all its conjured possibility, then evaporated like frost from a spider web on a sunny morning. Sometimes I catch a whiff of burning leaves and my... A limited edition:
Being the computer "genius" that I am, I thought mine didn't have a port for the flash drive. So I copied my "After All" manuscript to a CD. Which was an exercise in futility, as it turns out. Hot Pink on Orange Day

I don't bingo, but I had a sharp new graphic tee I bought at the art fair on Sunday after Library, orange, so I was part of the in crowd. So as folks began to gather for Tuesday soup & salad bar, I was surprised to... Sign in to see full entry.

Something's up...
On the Wild Women of the Woods page they're posting stuff about Mercury being in Retrograde, and tributes to the artist who did the original designs for Tarot cards back in the last century. There are bits about Chakras, others on how to tell you're a witch, and posts about witches being healers and... Sign in to see full entry.

Oops! I forgot to post a blog at my usual 5:30 a.m. deadline...
I got started on the final edit & copying After All to a CD. It turns out my 'puter doesn't have a port for a flash drive - either that or I just couldn't find it. Guess I'd better get out my owner's manual... I'm emailing a copy of the story to my newly certified Lawyer daughter. She's listed on... Sign in to see full entry.

Well, now...
Sometimes things happen that snap you to attention, little coincidences that, when you think about them later, seem orchestrated by the universe. Serendipity. Now there's a word that seems to hover in the wings, just waiting to flutter to center stage and tie loose, unrelated coincidences together... Sign in to see full entry.
