The bookcase to the left of my desk is empty. Most of the books, magazines, etc. that rested contentedly there yesterday are now stacked and categorized on my dining table. Lucky for me, I eat at my desk or in the recliner in front of the TV. One stack is reference: dictionary, thesaurus,... Sign in to see full entry.

Thanks for your comments...
Two people who love each other and have been together for some time call each other honey, sweetie, darling, etc. Doesn't make much diff whether they're straight or gay. At least the ones I know. To clarify: In previous posts I've written about Little Gus' accusation that Clyde killed his daddy. I... Sign in to see full entry.

Excerpt - what I've got so far...
MOTIVE AND OPPORTUNITY Joey had spent the night with Clyde in his quarters at Belmonte. They’d lingered over coffee talking about whether or not Gunnison was a place they could one day settle down together. They’d been thinking of eastern Oregon, or some wide open space in Wyoming or Montana where... Sign in to see full entry.

Motive and Opportunity...
Ever since I wrote the story for National Novel Writing Month in '13, I've been wondering whether or not Clyde Madigan really did kill Gus Lansing as Little Gus said. She has no desire to make it anything but an occasional gathering of story tellers and listeners. She... Sign in to see full entry.

Oh, Peg, have you got a minute?

I got out the sign-up sheet, stopped in to talk with Sara, who is the center's Director - to talk about the ongoing hassle of the Story Project, which the Center sponsors. What I said to... Centered...
Tuesday at The Center. Rainy, warm(er). A couple days past the full moon. Oh, yes we got trouble, trouble with a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for pool. Roger, one of the pool players, arrived a bit early and brought his wife Bonnie along. She had a bag of books - notebooks, and... Sign in to see full entry.

A little break from the story...
It has become clear to judgy me that I am a snarky egocentric snotbag. I've written here how my former student (from the Write Your Own Story class at the Center) named Peg had ticked me off by announcing that writers involved in "our" E'vl Story Project could just drop in any old Thursday for a...
