Just call me Joan Jetson!

I have always dreamed of being a space traveler. Now, for the right price, it just may be possible to do this-- very soon. According to CNN today, the privately financed space flight industry is heating up. Several private companies will begin building their prototype vehicles this summer with plans... Sister found... I'm Florida Dreamin'!

I talked with my sister, finally. She had been hiding from her phone because of all the calls from her ex-boyfriend who she thought she had left behind in North Dakota. She is stopping over in South Dakota to visit some friends on the way out west and now has learned that the ‘ex’ followed her... Sign in to see full entry.

My sister is A.W.O.L.

Part of me wants to say, 'good for her'! She finally got out of North Dakota, got a job in Arizona, and is somewhere in between right now. The problem is, she’s not answering her cell phone and the family is worried. Should we be? I remember times in my life when I just didn’t want to talk to... Sign in to see full entry.

Why is Sarah Jessica Parker wearing my uniform?

My first real job was at a drive-in restaurant-- I was a carhop (no roller skates). We had to wear those red and white candystriper uniforms and carry trays of food out to the cars. It was a fun job for me most of the time because ‘Dairyland’ was also the high school hang-out. Cars full of kids... Sign in to see full entry.

I’ve never been one to follow recipes; I much prefer to just make it up as I go along. However, these classes gave me the basis of understanding to be able to create some wonderful... Nurse Jane (the muskrat lady)

We have a long-standing joke around here for when hubby is sick (thankfully not very often) and I get to play nurse. He calls me Nurse Jane; we’ve made various jokes over the years about the name. I decided to get out the Uncle Wiggily story book to check it out. As it turns out, Uncle Wiggily is... Sign in to see full entry.

What's your Tag Line?

Definition of tag line: A slogan or phrase that visually conveys the most important product attribute or benefit that the advertiser wishes to convey. Generally, a theme to a campaign. I woke up this morning thinking that this would be a good question for our blogitville residents. My thoughts on... Sign in to see full entry.

Stupefyin'

In high school, I was ‘Stupefyin Jones’ in the musical, Li'l Abner. It was a difficult role for me to play because I was so shy. To make matters worse, Li’l Abner was played by a guy I had an incredible crush on. I had to wear a leopard skin bathing suit and shimmy up to this guy…rehearsals... Sign in to see full entry.
