Time slows down. There is a rushing in my head-- my body is full of emotion. A defining moment is at hand. When I’m angry, my limbic brain is fighting for control. What I can rely on to keep me sane during these times is the essence of my being, the fabric of our relationship. The threads and colors... Sign in to see full entry.

A guy named Angie
This song has been running through my mind all day and I realized that I didn’t know the artist so I started investigating. He’s a guy, named Angie Aparo, and the song is, “Hush” from his CD, The American. So, I thought, who is Angie Aparo and why is this song running through my mind? Here’s the... Met a coyote today
I think his name was Wiley- Wiley Coyote! He loped across the road just ahead of my path as I was coming around the corner on my bike. Mr. Coyote was a big one, he looked prosperous and confident but a little surprised to see me. We looked at each other as I sped by. The witch's hair was blooming... Sign in to see full entry.

Put on a happy face
“Put on a happy face,” my mom would say-- or, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all!” Maybe you heard these things when you were growing up too? I learned early to always be ‘nice.’ It’s a Minnesota thing. Even now, when I express an opinion around here, sometimes hubby will say... Sign in to see full entry.

I loved Lucy
The world will never forget Lucille Ball. When I was growing up, she was my hero. In researching her career, I was astounded at the almost sixty years of filmography credited to her, as an actress and as a producer. I especially loved the freedom of her wide-ranging expressions because I grew up in... Sign in to see full entry.

Lily of the Valley
Today I bought a small lily of the valley plant. The sweet scent brought back so many memories. When I was growing up, we had rows and rows of these tiny white-flowered plants growing by the north side of our house. The ground was always damp in that spot, a perfect environment for these plants. The... Sign in to see full entry.

How to paint a buffalo
It started out looking like Babe the Blue Ox (companion to Paul Bunyan) but ended up as a beautiful "bi-sun". My sister-in-law is an incredible artist; she had the opportunity recently to participate in a bison painting event to benefit a public art project and fundraiser. Liz works with all kinds... If you were a character actor, what part would you play?
This question occurred to me yesterday, while we were out on our bikes. I wondered, what actors and actresses are most like our bloggers here? I started to think about what 'type' of actress I could identify with and finally came up with Kathleen Turner in some of the action adventures she was in,... Sign in to see full entry.
