I remember her. God, that was long ago. I'm painfully shy, too. It's such a weird thing, because I try so hard to excel and then when the spotlight shines on me I shrink away from it.

Great read and I enjoyed the pics. Take care and have a great weekend.

Nanaroo,
Wow, I never knew who Julie Newmar was or that she was such a looker.  She's  like Geena Davis, long, lean and leggy.   I've seen the movie "To Wong Fu, Love, Julie Newmar", but that's about all I knew.  What a dish.

Lucy,
thank you sweet sister- ... being so much taller and curvier than most women, it was nice for me to find a famous person who was like that and admired for it.  I always feel like such an amazon around tiny women!

You look just like her too!! It would be easy for you identify...and I loved it that she threw a tomato at J.B....he met his match!!! LOL~

I could also really identify with her sense of humor- at least as she came across..

She's got it all...had it all, and a brain to boot!!! Maybe in my next life time I will be born taller with something other than my bird legs!! Love, Lucy

I knew that you were going to ask!
I am 5'10", but I think that I lost a half of an inch somewhere. Old age maybe? I don't dare wear high heels or I wouldn't be able to find my husband, unless I looked in my rear orface. I have always appeared taller then him even though we are the same height. Its due to my giraffe legs. Ugh!

sassyass64
cool!  How tall are you?

posted by Nanaroo on March 16, 2006 at 2:10 PM | link to this | reply

Geez! And I thought that I was the only one that had giraffe legs
I have a 36" inseam. I have always hated being tall, and I passed it on to one of my daughters who is also not particularly fond of it. Pants are just too hard to find with legs like mine.

Great post! I'm a longtime fan of Al Capp and Lil Abner. Community theater did that one at BSU a couple of years ago.

thanks for visiting... Actresses with curves are so much more appealing than all the skinny ladies out there right now.

I remember her Catwoman well.

yes, I'm about 6 feet...  it's kind of fun now but it wasn't when I was growing up.  It's hard to be invisible when you're this tall- can't blend into a crowd.

Nan--
Are you almost 6 feet tall???? I always wanted to be taller- maybe atleast 5'7 or so. No luck here. I am almost 5'2. But my oldest daughters are tall. MacKenzie is not yet 14 and almost 5'10 and Sawyer is not yet 13 and about 5'8.

Hi Nanaroo-
To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar (1995)
That's one of my favorites about her.  She and Belushi just settled a lawsuit, too.  So she is still in the news.  She is magnifique!
