How Much Can a Psychic See?

Factorfiction asked me about aura colors in the recent flowers gallery of this blog. Definitions: Compassion

Compassion brings together a clear-sighted, non-judgmental awareness of where another person is at, with an appreciation of what they are experiencing in that place. It is not about taking on the problem or solving it, or in any way interfering with that person's own process of finding their own answers. It is not about being helpful. Nostradamus: Fate, Fear, and Free Will

"Basket of Light"

Here is another item out of my writing archives... This was a sermon written in 1985, and the dating shows here and there. I believe my voice has changed a bit over 20 years, too... Later on, this led to a meditation that I still use and teach. I've edited it slightly for present time. BASKET OF LIGHT Candles, crosses, stars, roses... Symbols of light and truth and spirit. Miracles seem to happen...

I found this in something I wrote a few years ago, and find it interesting again, and possibly worth some discussion: Miracles seem to happen. But what's happened is that we've begun to go with the flow of Reality instead of against it. We can't work with anything but Reality, if we want lasting change or growth. How can the Bible be True and not-true at the same time?

As with all things, it is a matter of perspective. Look at the people around you. Do you see them? Truly? Or does your vision and appreciation get hung up on their clothing, their sense of style (or not-style) or possibly their body? Do you listen as well as look, and then perceive them as what they say, or how they say it? Do you actually ever see them? Ghost Story

I was at my first ESP Fair as a professional reader/healer, the same one where I met the lady who told me, almost apologetically, that she wasn't psychic, herself, but came to things like this, to experience it, then a few moments later, asked, "What's that blue light around your hands?" This time, the woman who came and sat down with me was a middle-aged, slightly harried looking person who owned a house in a semi-rural community in Washington State, that she used as a rental for income. Human beings like sex so much, they hate to give it up just to be holy...

Now and then, I sit down in a state of moderately deep trance, and answer questions put to me by a small circle of people. The answers are not my concious answers, but come from some source that might be what could be called my own 'higher conciousness' or from a source closer to the person asking the question. I think it is sometimes their higher conciousness communicating with them through my voice because they can't hear it themselves. The answers flow to the question, using words out of my... Fear itself is, of course, also a matter of choice...

It may not feel like it, but it is. For the Body fear may be an automatic response to threat against well-being, but to the human mind-- that synergistic interface between Body and Spirit--there are the elements of concious intent and deliberate choice. The choices we make about human love do seem to take a lot of practice to get right... to result in the results we want!
