REVISIONQUEST

The word I want won't come to me. Probably a metaphor, it lives inside a wordstore my thesaurus doesn't know. I use its plain-meant sense, I'm sure, a hundred times a day, yet miss the unplanned chemistry all ready to combust. Some day a spark may arc the gap, the limp may go away, the puzzle... DACHSHUNDS HAVE THIS THING

We walked our dachshund through the zoo so we could watch the interplay. Head erect, he just returned the regal lion's narrowed stare and watched the tigers imitate his liquid way of taking stairs. "Just cats. A little big, is all." Unimpressed, he passed on to the pool of glossy slickside seals... Sign in to see full entry.

LEGOS AND SWISS ARMY KNIVES

What is it that you want from me? To be a simple Lego block that fits so well and clicks in place with dozens other of my kind? Or maybe a Swiss Army Knife to do all those surprising things like bore and whittle, carve and file and cut you if you are not careful? Sign in to see full entry.

Towards the middle, two small islands spiked with fir trees floated fixed. The fog that buoyed them... Sign in to see full entry.

Pain Killer, you have killled the pain, stomped it to oblivion, broken off ite pointy spikes until it's just some flattened nerf that I don't hear from any more. Instead, I'm lying here alone and prostrate up above cloud 9, on the undemanding slopes of Big Rock Candy Mountain where the days pass and... Sign in to see full entry.

A TAPESTRY OF TEACHERS

A hundred hundred unremembered people made us who we are. Their voices, habits, fears and passions -sometimes clear, sometimes muted - echo echo down the years in all we say and do long long after they have gone. Sign in to see full entry.

(continued) NAME THAT MOVIE #10

Maybe you will know it when you know the women and the men: Constance Towers and "Duke" Wayne in tale of US Civil War; Princess Grace and Cary Grant, cat burglar suave right to the core. There are the casts, but it is vital that you also know the title! You'll find both under CLASSICS stored, the... Sign in to see full entry.

NAME THAT MOVIE, ONCE AGAIN! (Keeping Count? It's #10)

Even chicken can be racy! She murmured, wearing something lacy: "Can I give you a thigh or breast?" He hears the gist, ignores the rest: "I've had enough of both, but thanks." (This brief exchange with the great ones ranks!) Name the movie, and you're a "Movie Buff", name the two stars, you're... Sign in to see full entry.
