Are You An Unfaithful Blogger?

I've been blogging for BlogIt faithfully since mid-October, hoping to increase my readership and make money, and oh, yes, get some writing done, too. I was totally faithful to BlogIt 'til about January, when I saw this ad for blogger.com, which stated money can be made on a blog by incorporating GoogleAdSense into the blogs there. I signed on, for free, and I blogged an entry or two, but never got time to thoroughly study this AdSense thing. Something about blogger.com didn't feel... Sign in to see full entry.

Do You Trust Your Spouse?

I have hesitated to write this post. This has been brewing in my brain since Sunday night. I had an eye-opening conversation with Husband John Sunday night. It really ripped the blinders off me, but those blinders have had holes in them for a long time now. We have a neighbor, Greg, who is a fanatical nut job about religion. Lest you think I'm judging him, I'm not; I realize people hold all manner of beliefs, but this guy is so far out that he really believes Eve was a church and not a woman. He... SACRILEGE!!

We got an unusual notice in yesterday's mail. It read: ATTENTION ALL "TIFANNY" RESIDENTS!!!! There will be a special meeting at the "Tiffany" Church on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 12:00 (slow time) regarding PETS THAT ARE LOOSE. PLEASE ATTEND IF YOU ARE A PET OWNER, OR WANT TO DISCUSS OUR PROBLEM WITH PETS THAT ARE NOT BEING KEPT AT HOME. Mom and I, and Husband John when he got home, were very nonplussed about the notice. It's commonly accepted in these parts, way out in the country, that most... Sign in to see full entry.

Are You A Foggy Blogger?

I always try to write clearly, and I'd like to think that most of us at BlogIt really strive for clarity in our writing. After all, many of us are either published writers or are trying VERY hard to become published, so any post really should be written, even the fun ones, so it's readily understood. I just read a post by a blogger (who shall remain politely anonymous) and I still haven't figured out what the post subject was. The post rambled, and when I finished reading, all I felt was... I KNEW She Was Murdered!!

I have an eccentric interest, eccentric for a person like me, who is most interested in singing Gospel music. I live to sing Gospel......But being human, my eccentricities arise, and my two strangest ones are that I LOVE big trucks, especially Hummers and F250s and F350s, and I'm keenly interested in Princess Diana murder conspiracy theories. I have a growing collection of magazines, and one particularly revealing book that explains in detail how Diana, Princess of Wales, was murdered. I found a... Sign in to see full entry.

Reunion

I have a friend I've blogged about before, especially when he gets on my nerves and mouths off. Sometimes this guy's got a mouth the size of the Pacific Ocean, and he's not afraid to use it. The old saying about sticks and stones breaking bones, but words not hurting, doesn't have a grain of truth to it. Words do hurt......and they anger others and sometimes do irrepairable damage to relationships. I often wonder why people don't have sense enough to know when to shut up. Words, though, are just... Back in the Saddle Again

At least, I'm trying to climb back in the saddle. Saying it is one thing and doing it is quite another. I do have to wonder why things seem to snarl after they've seemingly straightened out... Husband John went off to help neighbor Greg with some beams for his roof, in exchange for Greg helping repair the Toyota. Gotta admit it, except for some scuff marks and the headlight looking a bit screwy, those two did an A1 job making the Toyota driveable again after it got bashed in last week's wreck.... Life Is Like A Chameleon

I don't know what to make of things most of the time any more. I'll have everything all planned out, then something happens that rearranges everything--again....Like the wreck on Monday afternoon, and I still don't know who will be determined to be at fault, though God, Mom and I know the truth, so whatever happens, happens. Husband John can finish pulling off enough damaged materials from the crunched fender to make the Toyota driveable again, and if we never receive payment for the damage, at... BAM!!!

Mom and I were headed to town for supplies this afternoon... At least, that was our plan. Life increasingly proves the truth of John Lennon's statement that "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." We live in a very rural area. This trip, I'd opted to take a back road to get to the state road so I could drop some mail in the Post Office on the way, instead of driving the 8 miles to the interstate. We were driving on Overhead Bridge Road, thus named for the overhead... Sign in to see full entry.

Wal-Mart Hangover

Mom and I went to Wal-Mart late last night, one of those giant supercenters that features 67 varieties of each product on each aisle, while you're standing there trying to locate just a basic model. I'm still trying to recover. I got to bed at 5 a.m., and I'm wondering if this is how it feels to be hungover and drunk. Blasted place stays open 24 hours and even the vampires shop there. They saw me comin' last night. Lately the clearance section has had a large variety of teas, marked down, just... Sign in to see full entry.
