I will make haste, to be sure. He did ask something about whether he'd done/said things that hurt me. I was honest. I told him I could not count the times it had happened. I remember those times, but I had not dwelled on them or held grudges about them.
He was surprised at my answer. I think he genuinely thinks that everything he says and does is okay.
I am really glad you have someone you can trust. We all deserve that.

He didn't explain why he doesn't trust me, and I was too stunned to ask, and I really didn't want to set him off by asking. He's not violent to me, but it's better sometimes not to encourage him to talk. Those mood swings are hard to take.
Anyhow, I'm guessing that deep down he's a very insecure person and wants approval from me for his every action, all the time. I can't give that. Nobody could, and it's irrational for anyone to expect it.
In your case, you're better off keeping your guard up and not totally trusting. Your heart will lead you when it's ready to trust.

Wow. Did he say why he doesn't trust you?
I'm not married... but I have a hard time trusting anyone completely. Since I have many male friends, I feel like I know too much about how they really think.
