first comment - i think the disruptive changes are spiritual tests given to
us by the big guy(s) to see how well we're learning our lessons. the more patient we are, the more humble and willing to make the best with what we've got, the bigger the reward. (and i often find the reward isn't the one we were pining for but the one we needed most.)
my second comment - GO HUSBAND JOHN! many thoughts and prayers of good wishes. self-employment is tough and equally fraught with problems but oh! the sweet feeling of being your own boss! go get 'em!
