Passionflower,
I think I'll be okay, though you have a legitimate point.  I was jarred and achy immediately, but I knew I was unhurt, so I told the cop there were no injuries.  I sure didn't want to end up at a hospital just for being jarred!  Nothing they could have done anyway.

Thankful with you that no one was injured....

I've been injured in an auto accident like this before. You may have whiplash and the other driver's insurance company will pay in FULL for you to be seen by a chiropractor. You should really make an appointment to see one soon.

Otherwise, you'll start having headaches, etc

FactorFiction,
Emotionally, I'm doing pretty well, and I was only sore about 24 hours from the jar.  I am concerned the officer didn't do his job correctly.  He asked very few questions.  If it's ruled that neither driver was at fault, even that would be preferable to me being blamed.  I don't want a claim on my insurance when I wasn't even the cause!

Mom's fairly ticked at the possibility of the other driver's company not paying, and she's right.  It really would be an injustice, but Husband John can probably pull some more damaged material away so the car is driveable again.

...But at least, nobody was hurt.  That's really all that matters.

Well, the most important thing is that you and your mom

walked away from it just fine. From your description, the police should be able to see that she was not even on the correct side of the road, in which case...uh...if she were going slow enough, would she not veer _away_ from oncoming traffic vs. into it?

Stress from that sort of thing really eats at me...I hope you do better at handling it!

Wiley,
I don't know whether the other driver braked at all.  She came at us so fast I couldn't tell.  That cop wasn't much help, really.  God helped most of all.

Rumored,
She has liability insurance, but until it's officially ruled who's to blame, anything could happen.  Considering I was on the correct side of the road and she was flying down the middle, it should be a DUH!, but there's no way of telling what will be decided.

Well, I'm happy you're both alright. Should be easy enough for the cop to tell how fast she was going from her brake marks no? God bless ya luv

I give thanks with you
for known and UNKNOwn Blessings. For the often too simple to grasp truth is: NOthing happens outside of God's LOVE.
