I just got done talking to someone with some knowledge of recent events surrounding the smoke alarm. He claimed that the handymen had been over promptly after my original conversation with building management, and that I wasn't home. Someone's lying - I was home that day, and nobody knocked (or at least they didn't knock loudly enough to get my attention). I hate the "customer service" I'm getting from these people.
