I hope I finally have it fixed!
Someone finally came over to fix the smoke alarm - after I contacted the fire department (who, in turn, contacted the building inspector). I felt rather embarrassed about this whole kerfuffel, but I hope I've finally gotten the **** thing fixed. (Fill in your favorite expletive where the asterisks are.) In turn, I'm half expecting that whatever goes around, comes around. There is the serious matter of my past-due rent to consider. I'm considering taking my sweet time asking various agencies for...
