Thank you, WGN News, for proving my point
On this American Thanksgiving Day, I am watching a tape-delayed broadcast of WGN's noon news. One of their lead stories was of a house fire - and the reporter made a point of mentioning that the smoke detector did not work. The reporter unintentionally proved my point. Here in Chicagoland, those of you who disable your smoke alarms to prevent nuisance alarms would be vilified by implication.
