Details are in my Adventuring blog--suffice it here to say, we made it to Tempe last night just after dusk, and found this hotel acceptable, but really only in comparison to the one the night before. I do not recommend Motel 6. So far, the high points have been: Finding Raton Pass dry and snow-free. Finding that though I'd left my Lifetime National Parks Pass at home, because I still had the handicap placard showing, the guy at the entrance to Petrified Forest NP could ask if I'm permanently...
