Spring winds
Every year I have planted sugar snap peas or snow peas to grow vining up the string trellis at the end of the deck. Every year they have gotten high enough to reach over the pots, and have been defeated by the dry winds that come gusting through this area, beating things down and drying them out. Well, I have got a nice little crop of peas growing again, but this year I am paying attention to those winds, and shifting the little seedlings across the deck to a more protected corner.
