No one knocking...
Not yet, anyway. I made a special point of waking at 6, because I simply hate being dragged from sleep, as happened yesterday at 6:30 when that dratted flicker started on the outside wall of my room. He wants to make a nest in there, and I want him not to. So when I hear him knock-knock-knocking, I go out on the deck, lean over the side rail and holler at him, "Go away!!" And he goes away... to come back a while later. He will win, in the end, probably, because I am about to be gone for 6 weeks,... Sign in to see full entry.
