My mother is 89 today.
She was born Sept 24, 1922, in Salt Lake City and grew up there and in Washington, DC in a large apartment across the street from the National Zoo. She was the second of four children, and the only girl. It wasn't easy. Her parents were not the loving kind. From all I have heard, they lacked basic understanding and insight, and lived rather selfish lives. When she had appendicitis, she survived without surgery.
