Where's the power?
Yesterday, coming home with a few items for fridge and freezer, I was met by a great silence. Not a hum, not a click, not a tick-tock... and in the gloom, I realized: power's out. Must have blown a fuse. It happens if someone turns on the electric heater to High. All the lights and appliances in one corner of the house go dead. Simple fix: shift the stuff out of the way, open the circuit box, find the one on the wrong side and flip it. Like magic. Yesterday, no magic: no circuit breakers were on... Sign in to see full entry.
