Yesterday, we left Olympia at the crack of noon, and started across Washington State via I-90 to Garfield, a small town near Pullman and in the heart of the Palouse hills. Interlude in green

Davy and I drove up into Capitol Forest yesterday looking for a new place to walk. It was a beautiful day, and our usual places closer to home were peopled up and I wanted to let him walk off-leash. Last Days

The truck has had her fluids topped... especially the oil, and is at this moment getting brakes serviced all around so they will continue braking as needed. Surrounded by mountains...

Estes Park is just a little ways down from the eastern gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, at about 7500 feet above sea-level. The skyline is spectacular, surrounding this cove in the mountains. My favorite place to eat in Colorado Springs

...is still the Peak Grill on Garden of the Gods Way, and only a couple of miles from the UCCS campus... only open for breakfast and lunch, with an imaginative and extensive menu of good wholesome food, well-prepared... and charming, friendly people to welcome and look after you!
