Recession! The media are currently riding one of their favourite hobby horses and prediction (no encouraging) a recession. They love to plunge us into gloom and misery to the point of hysteria, that I spotted something strange. I read a lot of self help books. People like me with little back bone for real life, often feel wrecked with self doubt to the point that you need something more than Karl Marx or the Bible to stiffen you up again. Tony Robbins is a very clever writer I admire in the... Sign in to see full entry.

Continuing blogging?
Continuing blogging? If like me, you find writing any blog is becoming a boor I was heartened by a comment on Araila’s blog where someone said that the money is so poor, this must be done solely for therapy. Reading the news I think we are heading for a real recession. The Credit crunch; crazy house prices and the relentless march of Chinese products and globalisation, all point to a world heading for a real bump! In a way I welcome this. I remember listening to a radio story about the Walton’s.... Sign in to see full entry.

Gravesend!
Gravesend! Here in the UK we are facing a petrol shortage due to the fuel company trying to take money from the pension scheme of its own workers. Their argument is that they workers have to suffer because they have done the same to poor developing countries, and if they don’t give in, the work will be moved. Workers on both side of the globe will suffer, but at least the multi nationals will make a fat profit to move off-shore to avoid tax. They will do it, because they can, and there is... Gerald Kelson
Books! I’m currently listing all my books in the house to place on Ebay. I list them all first, them send them to Turbo Lister with a photo. This is because writing the author and title are the hardest parts of listing. So get that out the way and things run smoother. Turbo lister is a tough tool to get around, so you have to have your info ready and past it on. It can’t be used as a data base as its too slow and clumsy. But ABEbooks have Homebase which is the best! Catalogue everything here... Sign in to see full entry.

Useful Services?
Useful Services? One thing which has struck me about trying to make money on the Web, it that you have to provide a useful service. I thought it could be information for writings looking for Freelance work. But the sad truth of the problem is, that most people do not want to work. They want the easy money, but there is no point in showing someone a site wanting Blog articles if they have no intention of writing them. And that is the crux of my problem. People don’t want to actually do the... Sign in to see full entry.

E-commerce
E-commerce After trying really hard to get something going with money making ideas on the Net, I have to call a halt! Many have warned me about trying to make money from web sites, but the truth is that you only get out what you put in. and the that is MONEY! You have to spend so much advertising it is debatable whether you get a return. I have several good set ups but they come to noting without a massive input of hard cash to put the address over the web. This means Google and that does not... Sign in to see full entry.

Big Money?
Big Money? How much can anyone make from doing this on a regular basis? I’m not talking about a living or even a decent income, but going at it with some serious intent? If I was in the MLM I would be thrashing it for all its worth, because I would be pouring at least £100 a month at the thing, if not more! So what if I brought some serious links for my commercial blog and went for it? If I put 100 in would I get150 back? That would be enough for me. Ebay is so steady now, I can rely on it for... Block buster!
Block buster! I once read an article about making money from blogging, which held a strange but compelling point of view. It was that if you get a few pennies each time you place a post, and someone reads it; then why not place several thousand, and make a living from it? Now there are some flaws with this. First, you have to get someone to read all this crap. Second, just think how many hours you would have to put in to make just £10($20) a day? Its like writing a small novel every day. I know... Blogging for money!
Blogging for money! After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to get my web page going again. I think I might try Tinwell Books again, mainly because it’s the name of the village I live in and I think it might bring me luck. I’m still silly enough to believe that some of that ancient power might come back through the cosmic ages to help me in my time of need. Up till now I haven’t made a more than a dollar from it. This site is the only one which has ever paid me, and that’s to break even! I can make... Sign in to see full entry.

Back to work!
Back to work! Back to work tomorrow. Not as worried as I was a few weeks ago, as Ebay is working really well, and we are selling a few books. Not that that’s enough, and I’m following another scheme to make a little income. After weighing up how much I was prepared to spend on a MLM programme, I realise that I can shell out a bit on promoting my writing. This, for anyone who has never come across it, is banner click through’s. As many people have advised me on Bloggit, you only make money from... Sign in to see full entry.
