Interesting times We certainly live in interesting times. Here in the UK there’s a building society called Bradford and Bingley. They are a stable part of the high street chain. One of those institutions which you would have thought will go on for a thousand years. And yet here we are seeing it taken over and bailed out by the government. Now this is peanuts compared to the US market. But it is a sign of how bad things have got. I worry how this effects China? They have grown used to feeding... Sign in to see full entry.

End of Days?
End of Days? Whilst looking at Utube I see that there are several videos dedicated to Armageddon and the end of everything. Now these cheerful little ditties are not uncommon. There will always be some hysterical fool prophesising doom and gloom. But what made me sit up and think about all this are the events of the last few days. Most doomsday scenarios are based on wars or large objects crashing into the Earth, but this craziness is completely man made with not a weapon in sight. To screw up... Sign in to see full entry.

Sorry!
Sorry! Haven’t had much time to write anything here for some time. Been pulled in so many directions it is only now that I can stand back and reflect upon things. Had a few small breakthroughs in luck, which I might go into later. But I’ve abandoned my plans to put more books on other sites. Not only would it have taken me an age to re-type all those lists, but I don’t think any other site gets the hits Ebay does. And to that extent I don’t think they are worth bothering with. If they spent the... Sign in to see full entry.

Meanwhile down on the farm….
Meanwhile down on the farm…. Back in jolly old England things are not what they where. Yesterday I travelled to a larger city: Kettering. The countryside was lovely, green and lush, but what worried me was the growing influx of urban sprawl. More and more houses to accommodate too many people. The rules have just gone out the window as far as people are concerned. You can point to any problem and put it down to the fact that the population is simply out of control. It’s a lid that can come off... Sign in to see full entry.

Not enough Hours!
Not enough Hours!!! With the slow crawl of Ebay I decided to go back and list all the slow stock on ABebooks site. The only problems with this are, that I still owe money from the last time I joined them, and it will take a lot more typing of book lists. Over the years I have typed out lists of books so many times, I dread it. No two databases are the same. The only one I can really rely on is Homebase. But that doesn’t marry up with Ebay’s Turbo lister etc. What’s more I’ve used the thing for... Sign in to see full entry.

Articles!
Articles! I’ve had another look at the market for writing articles. These can be anything from the ridiculous to the mildly interesting. We are not talking about a fortune here, but it might pay enough each day to make it worth looking at as a stay at home business. Associated content and constant Content are the big ones. They are choosey about what the want. The market place is a good place to brows but to be honest most of the offers are like studying brain death. The best way, it to write... Movement?
Movement? I now have a small stable of writing sites that are worth submitting my articles to for money. We are not talking about a fortune here, but there is a modest amount to be made from them. The articles I’ve written are mostly concerning the building trade with a Green angle. They are centred mostly on the UK but I try to pitch them as if they could about anywhere. Like blogging, you only make any money if you blitz them with content. Keep it coming and eventually something will hit the... Sign in to see full entry.

Article Market
Article Market Having tried to re-launch myself onto the writing market again, I’ve dug up some of the old and dusty web sites that actually ask you for your masterpieces. Many are the sort of market place I used to air on Writers Wanted, and which proved such a waste of time. But some seem more interesting. A few are of the mould which ask you to write the article first and hope the customer to bump into you! This I like! As I feel I can write about what I like and make people come round to my... Pay per Post!
Pay per Post! One web site I’ve come across that looks like a blogger’s dream come true is Pay per Post. It does what it says on the tin: you write about stuff and if people who sell stuff like what you write, they pay you to write more things about their stuff. I hope this does not over complicate things, but trust me it’s as simple as that. Sure I haven’t made a penny piece from it yet, but I like the look of it. I’ve come across another site which does the same. We are not talking about... Sign in to see full entry.

Pay per post!
Pay per post! After reading Ariala’s blog about people not paying for your work, I posted a comment on her page to express my opinion on the whole thing. The sad fact was, that she wrote and submitted the articles, only to have them turned down. But you can bet they still used them! Why? Because one of the biggest scams on the market today is simply to get people to view your site, and what better way than to draw them in with false promises? If you invite people in with a honey trap you will... Sign in to see full entry.
