Untitled Document Video Try this for size? I’ve often wondered how you could link a page into Utube and get away with it. I’m not a big lover of video, bit like allowing TV in pubs but I am attracted to the idea of having the moving picture alongside that which you are writing. The picture is awful, as it look like the guy filming it was on acid at the time, but it is my home town, about 2 miles from where I’m sitting now. Tell me what you think? Novels and Length One thing I have noticed, and which has never occurred to me before, is that no story has to be the same length here on the web as in real life. Let me explain. A novel has to start at 80,000 words before a publisher will even bother looking at the first draught. So you can do the maths and say you have to divide it up into chapter of about 10-12 to make it readable. Thus giving you an average chapter length of 6 to 8 thousand words. My Struggle I wrote this because it would look amusing in German. But Adolf and his crew are in that big blogsphere in the sky. Or burning in hell, whichever way you look at it. Do you ever find you have a really good idea then no time to put it into action? Well all my plans have been put on hold. Novels I’m still taken with the idea of writing a novel and getting it published. I’ve often said that the only reason I write (and write on here) is for therapy. When you have a job as pointless as mine you need something. I’ve been looking back on some of the novels and short stories I’ve turned out. Ranking! One of my friends here on Blogit (Gomedome) once said that this site ranks very high on Goggle. So if you are after making a little money, and it is a little! You could do worse than put it here. I have many good money making ideas but they all involve spending a small fortune on advertising. Not too much happening at the moment, but there is plenty in the pipe line. I like to keep up the idea of writing. Its good therapy and reminds me what I got into it all for. Critters is a site I like, even though I don’t write enough to submit my own stuff. I have plenty that once was, but I have mixed views on why I should submit it.
