We had a burst pipe in the village yesterday and had to ration water for 48 hours. Now it was not just a matter of no shaving or washing up, we were worried about drinking water, and more importantly, Mother was worried about water for her horse. The Crypto's have gone a bit mad of late. As I look at it today, they all took a dip, but this is a good thing as people are only going to buy them when they are cheap enough. When it all started the idea was to have a currency that could transfer money between countries without the monstrous fees. But as it grew in popularity something happened. Non-Farm Payroll day. This is not as important as it once was, but it still packs a punch. Traditionally it was something to do with calculating the total employed people in the USA for that month. It got in a mess because they could never work out how many people worked the land, especially during harvest. So they made the decision to work out everything BUT the farmhands. A big down day for all the stock market, but sadly one we were all expecting. Some stocks were deliberately manipulated by users on Reddit and Robin Hood. Gamestop was hyped to the point of madness, going up 1,000%. This is a disaster for anyone wanting to make genuine money. When it gets like this, the best thing to do is stay away! Keeping on. Just to keep my hand in, I would love to talk about the stock market. Not the sexiest of subjects, but one which had done well for me in the past months. I've given up on currencies as you can't predict which direction they are moving in. Who would have thought the Dollar would fall so low and then begin to pick up? The looming of the coming day. I am so glad I no longer have to work at Morrisons the supermarket at Christmas time. The utter dread of the shop being closed for just 24 hours sends people into a panic. How can they survive a day without a bottle of milk? Sadly for most people shopping is their only entertainment.
