Lopsided Lulu

Thanks to amoxycillin and prescription-strength ibuprofin, the pain is gone and I actually got six hours of sleep last night. But the right side of my face is a balloon that feels off balance. Two of my favorite authors -- gone.

J. D. Salinger who wrote "Catcher in the Rye" so many years ago. Holden Colfield with his cogent remarks about life and learning, shocking in its day, a classic now. Photo of a big old gator with a golf club in it's teeth...

For you sports fans, it was a putter. Apparently it's habitat is the sand trap. And this gator, with a typical toothy gator grin and not a crocodile tear to be seen, seemed uniquely satisfied with his lot in life.
