I have a problem???

I have a PROBLEM?? Last night I had a filthy mood night. As if I don’t have enough worries with no job and trying to live off just under $1000 a fortnight; (I do not receive child support on a regular basis and the amount my ex pays – when he does - doesn’t even cover my son’s expenses for lunch in kinder. He probably thinks I am partying on it. $67 a month is the amount he is supposed to pay.) the ex husband of the friend with two children who is staying with me until she finds her own place in... Should we feel proud that

we had less violence but more intimidation with Olympic torch Relay? At the moment the Aussie pollies are going on about how successful the relay was and only 7 people arrested and BLAH BLAH; we Aussies will show the rest of the world how to run a tight relay with minimum disruption. There is something disgusting and toxic about their pompous trumpeting. Yes I believe that we did do a good job for the Olympic torch relay but at what cost? How ironic that the torch went out when Thorpie tried to... Sign in to see full entry.

Nir's Challah - a strange choice of pic for Pesach!

My son the Challah connoisseur! He keeps asking me for challah now in the middle of Pesach...Matza does not have the same taste or the lightness of good fresh Challah. We are not totally enthralled with the endless omlettes either. He is totally lost without kinder to go to and I have an assignment to do for my screenwriting course and of course someone wants attention. I also have a broken tooth and no chance of a dentist until tomorrow afternoon. Sign in to see full entry.

The Pic stuff is working - Thanks to Troosha

Well one done and two to go! I want to do a pic of my son as well but it seems to be hard to do more than one at a time unless I put them on a word document and copy the collection. There must be a simpler way to do this. Sign in to see full entry.

I am trying to work out how to do Pics here as they only let you do URL

I don't like the way they organise this photo transfer as I have them in folders and documents. Now I may have to create a website and put them up there. Pics make the blog more interesting and frankly I am also attracted to blogs with pics as well as text. I am exhausted and will finish this blog here. It is like a short journal entry to say 'Hi I am home' but too tired to talk. Sign in to see full entry.

Everyday things!

Well today we have had the dog washed, looked after my sick son, done some washing and just caught up on the mundanities of life after three days of holiday. My friend and her two children have gone back up to the country NSW property she has and there was no water so she and the children have had to cart water from the shed to the house. Her ex-husband has been playing games again. I really get annoyed with people who after all the divorce and stuff is over still hang on to the hurt and anger... Sign in to see full entry.

Well the three days of Shabbat and two first days of Passover or Pesach as

we call it are over and we are eating Matzah, a type of flat biscuit that you can't really call bread but it is called poor man's bread, for the next six days until sunset Sunday night. My son is already rebelling and wanting Challa the sweet plaited Shabbat bread we normally eat on a Friday night and a Saturday. Our two seder meals were great. Particularly the first one when we were invited to my son's teacher or Mora in Hebrew. There were other kids there for him to play with and he had a... Sign in to see full entry.

Our friends got their dog back!

This is Snowy my friend’s daughter’s dog. He has been AWOL since Monday afternoon. When Eli the carpet guy came to do the carpets Snowy took off when he was loading his equipment onto the truck or van. I tried to post the pic and it was to no avail. I will try again tomorrow. The poor guy called me frantic with worry. I told him he doesn’t like strangers especially guys. He will come to adult women sometime but he is a child’s dog. Anyway he stopped chasing him and he came back as I was paying... Sign in to see full entry.

A short poem...unedited

There is a child hidden There is a child hidden In each of us In the crevices Of our adult psyches To wait till time Bids it, ‘Come play!’ Or events dictate It makes us to curl up Pouting our grief Or crying out Our greed for some comfort There is a child hidden Within us all That we nurture Throughout our days from birth To that berth in the earth. ©Ilana Leeds April 2008 Sign in to see full entry.

Blogit versus Bigpond!

I am busy now doing my writing for my Course in Professional Writing and Editing plus two blogs. I prefer the style of this blogLAND but I do have a sentimental attachment to all my mates and fellow bloggers @ bigpond so I am going to give you the bigpond address and decide whether I keep this blog for finished articles, poems and short stories. Occasionally like now I will put the odd reflection in. I usually save the mad banter for bigpond. However bigpuddle times out all the time and it is... Sign in to see full entry.
