24 hours

To find time to sleep to keep to work to laugh to weep to eat to learn to play to pray to enjoy each day. It's not enough G-d I want more. To much to do In too short a time. Sign in to see full entry.

A busy day - I finished a first draft of the short story I may use

for my genre study in on line short stories. I will probably change it drastically in some parts before I submit it anywhere as it is so obviously based on little Red Riding Hood. It is rather amateurish, but it was fun in the writing. I have to do some more planning on The Collectors. There are weaknesses in the story line that need a lot more work. Plus my screenplay on the short story I wrote last year, Two Roads is coming slowly. I know what the problem is -- my male character is too weak and... Sign in to see full entry.

Two Seven Five Two

Two Seven Five Two Plumes of smoke curl Grasping the air from Places and people, Streaming out From windows Cut open by a silver bird of death. Fire glows red through Banks of grey clouds Fog the buildings from view In evil’s shade Two Seven Five Two died. Twin buildings once reached to the sky Carrying hopes and dreams For many little people Moving at their own pace Through the day. Windows were cleaned In coffee bars and restaurants Chefs cooked meals Waiters served them Customers ate them... Sign in to see full entry.

The Collectors - First Installment

The yard grows fuller by the day, by the week and by the month. A punching bag hangs from the fig tree; battered not by hands but by nature’s elements. The birds use it for a perch, flitting from the branches of the tree, to the bag where they sway a few moments, then flit down to the twisted remnants of several bed stands and some ripped mattresses and other assorted articles. No grasses or flower beds are visible in this miniature city. Rats run through the labyrinths of the massed mess.... Sign in to see full entry.

The Hand of G-d Day!

A 'Hand of G-d Intervention Day':-) Wednesday 30 April, 2008 - 21:57 by HaTalmeda in Default views (0) | rating (0 votes) I have had the most unusual day because I spent part of it in a car talking to someone I had not seen for years and years and trying to sort through where this person was at and warning her about an ex hubby of mine. I heard someone calling me while I was picking up a present for my friend's daughter's birthday on Sunday and it was a very sweet woman who has had such a rough... Sign in to see full entry.

Norma Khouri - Lie or Truth or Half-truth?

I am just viewing Forbidden Lies about the author Norma Khouri and her book Forbidden Love. It is hard to know what is the truth. Part of me wants to believe her and another part is sceptical. I haven't read it I would love to know what anyone who has read it thinks. there are many sides to a story. I wonder what is the real truth?? Is she a real con or is she being framed? This is such an interesting movie. I don't judge her. It is not my place to do so. I feel sorry for her. No one could build... Sign in to see full entry.

I am watching a Russian Movie called 'The Italian'

It is the story of a boy in a Russian orphanage and he is going to be adopted by an Italian couple. He is the envy of the other boys. The orphanage is a grim place. The Russian landscape is cold and forbidding. Vanya dreams of the mother who was supposed to have abandoned him. Not long after while his adoption is being processed a woman comes to the orphanage looking for a boy who was adopted out overseas a few months previously. She is driven away and commits suicide by throwing herself under a... Sign in to see full entry.

Kittens Galore!

These cats are the cats of my israeli friend and her two children. Her two cats had kittens last month within 8 or 9 days of each other. They share responsibilities of motherhood as you can see. They are about the same age. They feed each others kittens and they clean them. It is really funny and heart warming to watch. Rosie is the black and white cat and the younger one; she had her kittens first. The tabby is Kitty Kat. She is the tougher cat and the older cat. Rosie runs from Red Hen who... Well Pesach is GONE for another year :-( but we can eat bread :-)!

All the Pesach dishes are away but things are not quite back to normal yet. I have to reorganise the dishes and to do a general tidy up and take all the foil off the benches and tables. The dog was delighted to have dry food again after leftovers and the chicken from the soup and some meat the butcher had made up especially for Pesach. The chook (red hen) had gone to eating my friend's dog's food when she could sneak it. She will be glad to have regular laying mash tomorrow morning. Maybe she... Sign in to see full entry.
