A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

Last night I interviewed a woman whose interested in the place, and today I interviewed a guy who also is interested. He's a waiter who's also in a punk rock band that practices in New Jersey. I told both that I'd be getting in touch with both sometime next week. Tey're the only choices I have right now. I'm leaning towards the girl right now, though I keep going back to Craigslist to see if there's anyone else looking for housing. I woke up this morning and realized how grotty my sheets look.... So I responded to all of the ads, setting up appointments to view the apartment with some of the normal ones, saying my regrets to the rest, which frankly scared me with the intensity with which they wanted to live in my apartment. I heard back from the guy in England, whose needs (his niece is looking for a place for seven months) don't match mine. I'm looking for someone who can commit to a whole year. I'm continuing to talk to Hot Editor. What I worry about, though, is am I giving up too much information? Not because I'm worried about my safety (though I do have to think about that); but am I giving away too much in the game? Do I sound self-centered or full of myself? Do I look to be the who who's doing the chasing, instead of the other way around? This is the thing that's always gotten me caught in the past: I chase men, and I chase them away from me. And created an ad for the room I'm subleasing come August. I truly think the apartment's fantastic, though the rent is a little high (if I told you, most of you would have heart attacks). I was skeptical about using Criagslist because I've heard so many horro stories about it. But I'm not catching anything from the mass e-mail I sent out to everyone I know who's living in New York, so I must try Craigslist. Who knows? Well, there was work, which I won't bore you about. But this weekend I went to Virginia, where I visited C. The original plan was to go to Virginia Beach, but since it is, of course, Memorial Day Weekend, all the hotels were filled up; so we went to Williamsburg instead (his family goes there at least once a month).
