Yesterday I was in my car, driving to class, listening to the radio as always. It was a local station. Whenever the radio switches to commercials or those talk shows, I usually just change the station. But yesterday I stayed to listen to the talk show that was on. They were talking about kids who have blogs. I.e., teenagers. Apparently there are kids who are writing down everything they do from day-to-day, and understandably their parents are upset (obviously I can't sympathize, but I can... Sign in to see full entry.

Midterm exam
Ugh. I HATE fall break. The worst thing about it is that its planned so that it falls right before midterms- so that a student, if she wants to do well, has no choice but to work her ass off over the break. Its quite clever, really. I could have gone home this weekend (albeit for a very biref time, since Pennsylvania is a 7-hour drive way), but nooo.... I was here for the whole weekend, writing a paper for medieval history, doing a 15-page midterm exam for another class that thought was due... Sign in to see full entry.

This weekend
You know? Even though I claim I have no motivation, when I really sit down, compose myself, and get working, I can get a lot accomplished. Fall break and history senior sem
Tomorrow our school's fall break officially begins. It essentially four days (beginning Friday at 6pm and going until Tuesday evening) where we go on break. Its not a particularly convenient time to go on "vacation-" break usually falls before midterm exams, so we spend the break working our butts off- studying, writing, etc. For example, I'm still going to be here over break because I have to go to class on Monday and Tuesday at Sweet Briar. I have a 5-page paper due on Sunday evening, and a... Sign in to see full entry.
Student Government, Part II
Recently, the VP appointed two people to be senators in the senior dorm, Webb Hall. Elections for these positions, unlike the other senator positions, are not held in late spring, but in the early fall. Nobody ran for them, so Erika appointed people- oddly enough both of them are best friends with two of the executives (one with the secretary, one with the treasurer). The one who is friends with the treasurer is the same girl who stabbed my friend Amanda in the back, but that’s a whole other... Sign in to see full entry.
