For my internship, I have to write articles for both print and web form. I didn't know until very recently that there was a difference between the two forms. Paragraphs for web articles have to be shorter (not more than two or three sentences), and you have to get right to the point, because an audience on the web has a much shorter attention span than an audience in print. You also have to make short, snappy headlines for each short paragraph. I also had to read the style manual for... Sign in to see full entry.
Blog entries with eye-catching titles, and the distribution list
Do you ever write blog entries with eye-catching titles? I must admit, that I've written a few entries that were specifically aimed at getting clicks. Breakups
A classmate of mine (who I'll call "M") and her boyfriend of three years split up three weeks into the semester. Confused
If you've been reading this all the way through, I've been describing- to the best of my ability- my relationship with Chris. He is one of my best friends, and I believe that I'm in love with him. The situation gets confusing because we're in love with one another, and we've slept with one another, but we're still not an "item." He's not ready for a serious relationship; I don't know what I want, period (or, I do, but I'm not willing to discuss it). I have another guy friend. His name is Jay,... Sign in to see full entry.

Monticello
My parents were here, as I just mentioned, for Parents Weekend and Pumpkin Parade. They drove down from Philadelphia on Friday night, stayed the night in Charlottesville, and then came down to Lynchburg yesterday morning. We went out to Starbucks for brunch, and then we went to R-MWC's riding center, where I had never been in my four years here. Mom says that I should take a riding class next semester, just for fun. It sounds like fun, but with my allergies, I don't know if I can take it (its... Sign in to see full entry.
