I also believe that God is the same and can do the same things he did.  God is WAY bigger than we are and he sees the whole picture in our lives

You are so right. I think we all struggle with doubt sometimes.
Maybe not all, but most.  When I was a brand new Christian, my child fell and hit her head and began to have a seizure.  I did not panic (in and of itself, a minor miracle); instead, I knelt with her in my arms and calmly prayed aloud, "Jesus, I believe in You.  My child needs you.  Please heal her."  (Something like that--I can't remember the exact words) The instant I was done, she was back with me, crying.  She was fine, and I was calm the whole time.  Sadly, there are many times that I don't know if I could do that again with that measure of faith--even though He saved us just a year ago in that terrible car crash when the car flipped over.  Why is that?  The Bible says that we are more than conquerors, and we as believers are sons and daughters of the Most High.  Why can we as His children not access some of that power?  Look at the things the apostles did!  We are not to be conformed to this world.  Is that part of the problem?  Are we too conformed, too frightened of what others will say or do?  Time is short, and we believers (the ones like me, the ones you are talking about who are keeping Him in that box, and ourselves too) need to be on our knees and we need to be in that Word.  We need to be studying it and hiding those words in our heart and putting on that armor, preparing ourselves for what we know is to come.  Or is that more doubt creeping in, slyly whispering that we have more time?  More lies from the Master of Lies, spiritual warfare, one of his most effective tactics.  Excellent post!  God bless you.  I've been praying for you and Papa.

I hate being in a box and won't stay there so I don't think I ask that of
God. I will go away and meditate on this tonight.

I will never deny my Lord nor put Him in a box! The Lord is for everyone to experience; it is just unfortunate many do not seek Him out! sam
